| Hm. Yes, I realise it's been a while. So what else is new?
I went to Point Loma a few weeks ago for the senior art exhibition of one of my best friends, which was absolutely amazing. I loved every minute of it. And the school is amazing and I want to go there. And I miss people. -whinges-
We've hired and trained people at work, and so I'm only working a few days a week now, which is absolutely lovely. And one of the people we hired is one of my dearest friends, so that's rather exciting. I like working with her.
Um, um, um... I am no longer a freshman-sophomore-junior, but a sophomore-junior. Yes, friends, I have tapped into The Hidden Power of Motivation and am now Accomplishing Things, yay! Mississippi, here I come (eventually)!
Basketball is over, and this is a welcome relief as well as a Very Sad Thing. I miss my team so much, but reffing this year was almost Hell, so I'm very glad that's over and done with. Actually, I really need to plan the end-of-season party... my poor girls, they've been waiting for weeks.
We got chicks last Saturday! Twelve little babies, all adorable. I picked my favourite quickly, though, and have scarcely held the others at all. Mine is named Ruby, and she is sweet and adorable and currently nestled near my elbow on my bed. She likes me. And she likes my computer. She walks all over the keys, except she's not heavy enough to actually press them or anything, so she basically just gets in the way. I'll upload pictures later or something.
I went to Six Flags yesterday. That was fun. It was my brother's fifteenth birthday, and he wanted to go there, so we went with my granddad (Oh, yes! My grandparents are out from Ohio. They'll be here for the next couple of weeks.) and my dad. It was good, except I had to be up at 4:15ish this morning to go to work, and we didn't get home until 10:00ish, and I was up until 11:00ish, so I was am rather exhausted.
Anyway. That's all the update I have for you folks right now, so I am off to do Something Productive. Or perhaps sleep. I don't know.
P.S. Ruby's mad at me right now because I moved my arm and am not snuggling her. Silly chick.
Another P.S. I am so obsessed with Jason Mraz and Tristan Prettyman right now. Hee.

| I would just like to share that, because of my amazing influence on my coworkers... they are now squeeing unashamedly. A few weeks ago, one made fun of me because something excited me and I said, "squeeee!". And now she, as well as most everyone else there, is saying it on a regular basis. This makes me smile.
Squee!
P.S. I also ordered a TWLOHA hoodie the other day, and it could not possibly get here soon enough. I've been wanting to get one for so long. -bounces excitedly- -wills the package to get here sooner than projected arrival time-
| | Currently Watching Garden State By Zach Braff, Christopher Carley, Amy Ferguson, Jill Flint, Gary Gilbert, Kenneth Graymez, Jackie Hoffman, Ian Holm, Jayne Houdyshell, Trisha LaFache, Austin Lysy, Yvette Mercedes, Jim Parsons (II), Natalie Portman, Armando Riesco, Peter Sarsgaard, Jean Smart, Michael Weston, George C. Wolfe see related | I feel like I should be asleep now, even though it's not even six yet. See, I kind of have to open at work tomorrow, which means I need to be there no later than 4:45, but preferably 4:30. I don't think that I have ever intentionally awoken at that hour in my entire life. I also have to do the same thing Saturday. And I work Thursday and Friday and Sunday also, just not opening shifts. Thank God.
Normally, we don't all pull six shifts a week, but we were understaffed already, and then one of our girls up and quit because she couldn't get the weekends she wanted off, and so now we have four able girls, and one in training. New Girl won't be ready to work on her own until Saturday. And then we can start training someone new, and then we'll all almost be okay. But I am so bloody tired, and just thinking about the rest of this week makes me more so. But yes, it does look pretty on the paycheck. So I guess I can't complain so much. I just want to. -whinges-
How badly do I want to see Music & Lyrics? So badly. I think I'm going tomorrow, with a friend. I'm rather excited.
I'm also crazy excited about the fact that, Lord willing, I will see my darlings Nelle and Laura in less than a month. Laura's having her first art show, and I am -dear God please - going to be there.
Also, I am going back to Mississippi eventually soon, provided I can finish up my freshman, sophomore, and junior work that I've been procrastinating on. Yes, I know I'm pathetic, thanks. Oh, and also I need to get my permit. I am seventeen and not driving.
Other items worthy of noting: 1. Will the universe please stop trying to set me up? I am perfectly content in my singleness, thankyouverymuch. 2. I think, a lot of the time, life is happier than I make it out to be. This really ought to change. 3. Leandra!Squee!
| Has anyone seen Pan's Labyrinth? If so, was it any good? I almost kind of sort of maybe want to see it.
Also, I think I might start casually watching Bones. It looks interesting, and hello? Zooey Deschanel's sister? Instant points.
In other news... I might be going to Russia and/or China this summer; my basketball team is wonderful even if not anywhere near a winning streak; I am beyond tired of my job at the moment, and yes, thankyou, I would love a week off (there is no way I'm getting one, though.); this is seeming to be a very drab American Idol season so far; and I heart Rockstars (as in the energy drink).
And I may or may not be on an internet hiatus; that, combined with my lack of interest/anything to say, is the main reason I've not updated this in so long.
